Sevilla suffered a chaotic 2023-24 season that saw three different head coaches take charge over the course of the campaign, as Jose Luis Mendilibar, Diego Alonso and Quique Sanchez Flores each had a spell in the dugout.

The club exited the Champions League group stage without a single win and finished 14th in La Liga with 41 points, its worst league placing in over two decades, missing out on European qualification entirely for the first time since the early 2000s.
